Level 100 Introduction to Handguns

Where do you start? What do you need to know to be safe? This 3-hour course supported by NSSF's First Shots is designed for those individuals with little-to-no handgun experience. This is also an excellent class for those that may have done some shooting years ago looking to refamiliarize themselves with handguns as well as learn about more modern versions. Topics covered: -Universal Firearm Safety -Different types of handguns and their parts -Types of ammunition -Safe loading and unloading procedures -Brief live-fire exercise to demonstrate safe handling procedures and basic operation. All equipment provided: .22 caliber pistol, 20 rounds of ammunition, eye / ear protection and target.


Level 200 Handguns

This 3-hour course is the next step for those that have taken our Introduction to Handguns course to learn marksmanship principles or for those with some shooting experience looking to improve their fundamentals. Topics: -Key fundamental features include proper grip, stance, sight alignment, proper sight picture, and trigger control. -Ready positions -Hands on dry fire practice with training aids that provide a direct feedback system -Live fire exercises to validate skills learned in class. Students may bring their own firearm and 100 rounds of ammunition or they can use a rental gun and purchase ammunition for the rental.
