PAT O’NEIL

ACADEMY FIREARMS AND CCL INSTRUCTOR

Pat has served over 25 years in Law Enforcement. He is currently working for a county law enforcement agency. He has also spent the last 12 years with the investigations divisions multi-jurisdictional tactical enforcement group.

In 2003 Pat was selected as a member of the county multi-jurisdictional special operations units tactical response team, in 2011 he was selected for the ILEAS Region 4 weapons of mass destruction special response team and in 2019, he was selected for the Hazardous Devices Unit.

He is also part of the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board as well as a certified firearms instructor, rifle instructor and a live shoot house instructor. Pat is also a rapid deployment active shooter and MACTAC instructor ,as well as an Illinois certified CCL Instructor and a certified Range Safety Officer!


EMILY

Emily has over 16 years of Firearms experience. She is a certified Instructor and Range Safety Officer. Leading others in Firearms Safety and Education, ensuring the proper handling of firearms on and off the range. She wants to change the women's experience at the sales counter, in the classroom, and on the range. 

You can take beginners level classes all the way to concealed carry, including private lessons. She also runs Womens Only Classes starting at the beginning level for First Shots all the way to Concealed Carry and beyond.

Facilitates and Instructs for the Ladies of 355. A group started at the range to give women a safe and inclusive environment to build shooting skills at all levels.


MARK

Mark has been with Range 355 since the first day we opened! He has over 25 years of law enforcement experience and has spent much of that time as a firearm instructor. With the Range at 355, Mark specializes in private lessons for individuals and will work with families and small groups.

STEVE

Steve has served for over 24 years in law enforcement ranging from a patrol officer, to being a member of gang and drug investigations unit, to a lead instructor for his department. 

He has over 20 years of SWAT experience and is currently the team commander of a regional Weapons of Mass Destruction SWAT Team and a member of a multi-jurisdictional county SWAT team.

He is a certified pistol and rifle instructor, and an instructor in rapid deployment, MACTAC, Rescue Task Force, and a shoot house instructor.

LARRY LINDENMAN

Larry Lindenman is a world-renowned tactical training expert who brings decades of experience and contagious energy to each class. His methods are focused on avoidance of criminal interaction as well as the mitigation of impact caused by escalated situations in both transitional areas and the workplace.

Larry retired from the Illinois State Police, as a Lieutenant in charge of General Criminal Investigations in the Chicago Metro Area. During this time, he specialized in investigative functions; including General Criminal Investigations, Covert Narcotics Investigations and co-authored the Illinois State Police Defensive Tactics Manual. For five years, Larry was the director of a multi-jurisdictional, covert narcotics investigation unit. Larry was also a SWAT team member and instructed in both SWAT and Defensive Tactics. Larry Lindenman has also been a dominant presence each year at the internationally recognized Range Master Tactical Conference.

Larry has an extensive, decades-long background in martial arts. He holds instruction certifications in Kali and Jun Fan, from legendary martial artist Daniel Inosanto. Larry received his black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) from 5th degree black belt Carlson Gracie, Jr. He has competed in BJJ and MMA. Larry currently teaches BJJ for Carlson Gracie Team. He teaches martial arts and self-defense tactics, internationally, to law enforcement, military personal and civilians..

KEVIN ARIAS

Kevin is an Army veteran and career firefighter with over 27 years of shooting experience. Kevin earned a Bachelor’s degree in business management in 2013 and founded Guardian Personal Defense Training in 2014. In addition, Kevin has over 20 years of martial arts experience and has studied under some of the best martial arts masters to include: Master Tom Savioano, Tuhon Bo Sayoc, Ama Guro Raffy Pambuan, Tuhon Ray Dionaldo and Tuhon Jared Wihongi. Kevin has studied various forms to include: Kenpo, Arnis, Shotokan, Jiu-Jitsu, Boxing, and American Wrestling. Kevin Currently teaches Kenpo and Kali at White Tiger Kenpo Karate in Addison IL and currently holds the following certifications:

NRA Training Counselor certified to teach the following: Basic Pistol, Basic Rifle,  Basic Shotgun, Personal Protection In the Home, Personal Protection Outside the Home, NRA Defensive Pistol, Range Safety Officer, Chief Range Safety Officer, Refuse to be a Victim, & Home Firearm Safety.

USCCA Instructor certified to teach the following: Introduction to Pistol, Concealed Carry, Home Defense Fundamentals, Emergency First Aid Fundamentals & Countering the Mass Shooter Threat.

Other Certifications: Certified SIRT Pistol Instructor, Certified LASR Instructor, Certified UTM Instructor, Senior Black Belt (3rd degree) and Martial Arts Instructor, FCS Kali Regional Training Group Leader, Illinois Tactical Officers Association Certified Rescue Task Force Instructor, Illinois State Police Certified Concealed Carry Instructor & Utah BCI Certified Concealed Carry Instructor.
